Blair Academy’s Deron Rippey Jr. selected for McDonald’s All-American Game
BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Blair Academy basketball standout Deron Rippey Jr. has been selected to play in the 49th annual McDonald’s All-American Games, recognizing him among the nation’s top high school players.
Rippey is one of 24 student-athletes chosen from across the country to participate in the game, scheduled for March 31 in Glendale, Arizona.
Blair Academy held a ceremony March 4 where Rippey was presented with his All-American jersey. Assemblymen Erik Peterson and John DiMaio attended the event and presented Rippey with a citation certificate signed by them and state Sen. Doug Steinhardt in recognition of his achievement.
Rippey has committed to continue his basketball career at Duke University.
The McDonald’s All-American Games are widely regarded as one of the premier showcases for the nation’s top high school basketball players.
