Man charged with endangering welfare of a child in Sussex County

NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — A man has been charged following an investigation into possession of child pornography in Newton, according to police.

Justin Iacona, 33, was arrested after detectives received multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, authorities said.

Investigators determined the suspect was linked to cloud-based accounts containing illegal material. Iacona voluntarily responded to the Newton Police Department for an interview and was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and later released pending a Superior Court appearance.

The investigation was led by Newton police, with assistance from the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
