Secret Service, local police to conduct training at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster

BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — The U.S. Secret Service, along with local law enforcement agencies, will conduct routine training exercises at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster on March 23 and 24, according to Somerset County officials.

The exercises will take place during the afternoon and evening hours on March 23 and during daytime hours on March 24.

Officials said residents in the area may hear simulated gunfire and other pyrotechnics and may notice helicopters, drones and an increased law enforcement presence in and around the golf club during the training.

No road closures are planned, and the exercises are not expected to impact the public, officials said.

Authorities also noted that the training activities are routine and will not be open to public or media viewing.
