Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash with pickup in Hunterdon County

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A 72-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a pickup truck Thursday afternoon in Hunterdon County, state police said.

Troopers responded at approximately 3:44 p.m. to County Road 519 near milepost 6.4 in Kingwood Township, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Grey J. Dimenna of Lambertville was traveling south on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle while a Dodge pickup truck was traveling north on County Road 519 when the two vehicles collided head-on.

Dimenna was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.
