NJMVC facilities to close April 3 for Good Friday holiday

NEW JERSEY — All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission facilities will be closed Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday, officials said.

The closure includes all MVC agencies, road test sites and vehicle inspection stations across the state.

Regular operations will resume for the remainder of the week, including Saturday, April 4.

Officials said the NJMVC website will remain available 24 hours a day, allowing residents to access more than 25 online services, schedule appointments and find answers to common questions.

Most motor vehicle services in New Jersey can be completed online, but nearly all in-person transactions — including permits, driver testing, document renewals, REAL IDs and vehicle registrations — require an appointment scheduled through the website.
