Sen. Bucco corrals runaway Easter egg on Route 46 in Morris County

MINE HILL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A wayward Easter egg prompted an unusual roadside response Saturday afternoon in Mine Hill Township.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., Morris County Sheriff James Gannon and state Sen. Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) were traveling through the area after attending a Dunkin’ Donuts ribbon-cutting when a report came in of an Easter egg down on Route 46.

Being nearby, Bucco sprang into action while Gannon blocked traffic.

The Easter egg was recovered and reunited with the Easter Bunny, Bucco said.

“It will be a Happy Easter,” Bucco said.
