Northwest New Jersey Workforce Development Board honors employers for workplace inclusion
ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — The Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey’s Disability Committee has announced three employers as recipients of its 2026 Employer Recognition Awards in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The awards recognize employers in Morris, Sussex and Warren counties for efforts to support the employment and inclusion of people with disabilities.
Code Ninja-Denville was selected as the Morris County recipient, DeBoer’s Auto was chosen in Sussex County and Complete Care at Brakeley Park was selected in Warren County.
The Disability Committee said the employers were recognized for creating workplaces that welcome and support employees of all abilities and for demonstrating inclusive hiring practices.
Although one award recipient was selected from each county, the committee also recognized several other nominees for their workplace inclusion efforts. They include Retro Fitness, Atlantic Health System, Chatham Hickory Cinema and Best Buy of Rockaway.
The awards are part of the board’s observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which marks its 81st anniversary in 2026 and seeks to raise awareness about employment opportunities and workplace inclusion for people with disabilities.
An event honoring the employers will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Rutherfurd Hall, 1686 County Road 517 in Allamuchy Township. Businesses, local officials and community members are invited to attend.
