4 injured after car strikes tree on I-80 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Four people were injured Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Warren County, authorities said.

State police responded at approximately 6:16 a.m. to the westbound lanes of I-80 at milepost 16.7 in Allamuchy Township, according to NJSP spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver of a Honda sedan lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

The driver and three occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.
