Single-lane traffic, possible delays scheduled at Riverton-Belvidere Toll-Supported Bridge April 27

BELVIDERE, N.J. (Warren County) — Motorists crossing the Riverton-Belvidere Toll-Supported Bridge should expect lane restrictions and possible delays Monday as crews conduct routine inspections, officials said.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27.

Officials said drivers are urged to slow down, use caution and follow directions from flaggers while traveling through the area.

The temporary restriction is necessary to allow engineers to inspect the bridge in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards. The structure undergoes inspections every two years and was last inspected in 2024.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other factors, officials said.
