Mosquito spraying planned in three Morris County communities Friday morning
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Mosquito Commission plans to conduct mosquito control treatments in portions of Morris Plains, Boonton and Hanover on Friday morning due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.
Weather permitting, crews will treat wooded areas using all-terrain vehicles between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on June 12.
According to the commission, treatments are scheduled for the following locations:
- Jim Fear Drive in Morris Plains.
- West Main Street and Essex Avenue in Boonton, including Grace Lord Park.
- Pond Road in Hanover, including Brickyard Field.
The commission said applicators will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox.
