Body recovered from Warren County pond, investigation ongoing

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — New Jersey State Police are investigating after a deceased individual was recovered Thursday evening from Allamuchy Pond, located near Rutherfurd Hall in Allamuchy Township and visible from Route 517.

According to State Police spokesperson Trooper II Christopher Postorino, troopers responded at 7:12 p.m. June 11 to reports of a deceased individual in the pond.

The body was recovered from the water, police said.

Authorities are withholding the individual’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information was immediately available.
