Morris County Sheriff’s Office promotes seven corrections officers, swears in new officer

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Sheriff’s Office recognized the promotions of seven correctional police officers and welcomed a new officer during a ceremony Monday at the Morris County Correctional Facility.

Sheriff James M. Gannon presided over the June 29 ceremony honoring members of the Bureau of Corrections.

Promoted from county correctional police officer to county correctional police officer corporal were Roy Salvado, John Rosinski, Shawn Kostysyzn, Chad Allen, Ryan Michelson, Ronnie Anglin and Anthony Otaegui, who was promoted to detective corporal.

According to the sheriff’s office, the rank of corporal is a key leadership position within the Bureau of Corrections. Corporals provide guidance to fellow officers, uphold professional standards and help ensure integrity and accountability within the correctional facility.

The ceremony also included the swearing-in of Officer Mario Maddaloni, who took the oath of office administered by Sheriff Gannon.

Maddaloni graduated last month from the Bergen County Police Academy’s Basic Course for County Correctional Police Officers Class 35 and was Morris County’s only recruit in the class.

The sheriff’s office congratulated the newly promoted corporals and Maddaloni on their accomplishments.
