Pringles introduces potato-based hot dog buns in three chip-inspired flavors

Pringles is giving the traditional hot dog bun a flavorful makeover this summer with the launch of its first-ever Pringles Pop Dog Buns, a limited-edition line of potato-based buns inspired by some of the brand’s most popular chip flavors.

The new buns are infused with the flavors of Pringles Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ and Honey Mustard, offering a twist on a summertime staple just in time for grilling season and National Hot Dog Day.

Packaged in Pringles’ signature canister, the 7.5-inch buns are designed to pair with hot dogs while delivering flavor in every bite. The company also suggests topping hot dogs with Pringles crisps for an added crunch.

“This summer we’re bringing the ‘Once You Pop’ experience to the center of the plate! We wanted to take something everyone knows and completely flip it into an exciting new snackable experience,” said Mauricio Jenkins, Salty Snacks Brand & Content Lead, Mars Snacking North America. “With our new ‘Once You Pop’ campaign, our mission is to continually deliver the unexpected to our fans, which is why we’re reimagining ordinary, bland buns and transforming them into an extraordinarily flavorful experience fit for our iconic cans. Trust me, that extra Pringles flavor truly makes these buns pop because… Once You Pop, The Pop Dogs Don’t Stop.”

The limited-edition lineup includes Sour Cream & Onion Pop Dog Buns, BBQ Pop Dog Buns and Honey Mustard Pop Dog Buns.

Pringles will release the buns in two online drops — Wednesday, July 8, and again on National Hot Dog Day, Wednesday, July 15, beginning at noon EDT.

The buns will be available while supplies last at OnceYouPopMarket.com and through Pringles’ Instagram and Facebook Shops. Customers can receive a free package of Pop Dog Buns with the purchase of a three-pack of Pringles Sour Cream & Onion, Honey Mustard and BBQ crisps for $6.97.
