Atlantic Health names David Nosacka executive vice president, chief financial officer
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Atlantic Health has named David Nosacka as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 17.
Nosacka will oversee the health system’s financial strategy and operations, including accounting, treasury, revenue cycle, financial planning, capital planning, managed care, supply chain, real estate and construction. He also will lead the Atlantic Health Venture Studio, which invests in health care startups and partnerships.
“David is a proven leader with the ideal blend of strategic and operational thinking to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare environment,” said Saad Ehtisham, president and CEO of Atlantic Health. “His 25 years of experience in integrated systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals will have a meaningful impact on patient access and experience, while driving sustainable growth and fiscal discipline across our system.”
Before joining Atlantic Health, Nosacka served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington, part of CommonSpirit Health. In that role, he oversaw financial strategy and performance for 12 hospitals, 300 sites of care, 18,000 employees and value-based care arrangements covering 500,000 patients.
According to Atlantic Health, Nosacka helped lead the organization’s post-pandemic financial recovery, supported the integration of Virginia Mason and Franciscan Health, expanded ambulatory care and improved operational performance.
“It is a tremendous honor to be selected for this role,” said Nosacka. “After meeting with Saad, the leadership team and members of the Board of Trustees, I am incredibly excited about joining the dedicated and talented Atlantic Health team. I look forward to giving my very best every day to build an even stronger health system – one that empowers our clinicians to continue providing exceptional care to the patients and communities we are privileged to serve.”
Nosacka previously held leadership positions with Hospital Sisters Health System in Illinois, LHP Hospital Group in Texas and Creighton University Medical Center in Nebraska.
He earned a master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of New Orleans.
