Lane closures planned Thursday morning on Easton-Phillipsburg free bridge

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Motorists crossing the Northampton Street Bridge between Easton and Phillipsburg should expect minor delays Thursday morning as maintenance crews work on the span’s architectural lighting.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said a single lane in each direction will be open on the Northampton Street Toll-Supported Bridge, commonly known as the Easton-Phillipsburg “free bridge,” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23.

The temporary lane closures are needed so commission personnel can perform maintenance on the bridge’s architectural lights.
