Mosquito spraying planned Friday morning in 2 Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Mosquito Commission has scheduled mosquito control treatments in wooded areas of Morris Plains and Roxbury early Friday morning due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.
Weather permitting, treatments will take place Friday, July 24, between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. using an all-terrain vehicle.
The planned treatment locations are:
- Morris Plains Borough: Jim Fear Drive (Community Park)
- Roxbury Township: Orben Drive
The commission said it will use either Anvil 2+2, containing the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, containing the active ingredient etofenprox. Both products are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for mosquito control.
