ROCKAWAY, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Mosquito Commission plans to conduct adult mosquito control operations in Rockaway early Friday morning following an increase in the adult mosquito population.
Weather permitting, crews will treat wooded areas along Valley Road on Friday, July 31, between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. using an all-terrain vehicle.
According to the Mosquito Commission, applicators will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox. Both products are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for mosquito control.
The treatment is being conducted in response to an increase in adult mosquito populations.
