ROCKAWAY, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Division of Mosquito Control has rescheduled an adult mosquito control operation in Rockaway for Saturday morning because of increased adult mosquito populations.
The treatment, originally scheduled for Friday, July 31, is now planned for Saturday, Aug. 1, weather permitting, between 4 and 7 a.m.
Officials said crews will use an all-terrain vehicle to treat wooded areas along Valley Road.
The county may apply either Anvil 2+2 (EPA Registration No. 1021-1687-8329), which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4 (EPA Registration No. 2724-807), which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
The mosquito control operation is being conducted in response to an increase in adult mosquito populations.
