HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Construction is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, Aug. 4, on the NJDOT Fiscal Year 2024 and Fiscal Year 2025 Madison Street Improvements Project in Hackettstown.
The Town of Hackettstown has awarded Top Line Construction Corporation the contract for the project, which includes improvements along Madison Street from Valentine Street to Warren Street.
The contractor has 30 calendar days to complete the work, with substantial completion expected on or before Thursday, Sept. 3, weather permitting.
The project will include replacing non-compliant curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, repairing or replacing sidewalks within the curb ramp areas, installing and replacing curbs with associated pavement repairs, and milling and paving the entire length of Madison Street.
Construction is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the four-week project.
Madison Street will remain open to residents during construction, although temporary road closures may occur to allow crews to complete certain work, particularly during milling and paving operations.
Temporary no-parking zones also will be in effect during construction.
Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone because construction workers and equipment will be present during daytime hours.
Temporary driveway closures also may be necessary during certain phases of construction. The contractor’s field representative will notify affected residents before any driveway closures take place.
