Gottheimer discusses affordability, child care, health care during telephone town hall
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer hosted a telephone town hall Wednesday night with thousands of North Jersey constituents to discuss affordability, including child care, health care and utility costs.
Gottheimer, who represents New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, also discussed efforts to support first responders and veterans and secure federal funding for infrastructure projects.
“This Telephone Town Hall was a great opportunity to hear directly from the people that I represent about what’s on their minds,” Gottheimer said. “In Washington, I’m fighting to cut taxes, lower the cost of childcare, health care, and utility bills, back our cops, EMTs, and firefighters, and make everyday life more affordable for North Jersey families.”
During the town hall, Gottheimer took questions from constituents and outlined his work to reduce costs for families, including efforts aimed at cutting taxes and lowering child care, health care and utility expenses.
Gottheimer also highlighted federal funding brought back to North Jersey to support veterans and first responders and for improvements to roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
Joining Gottheimer for the telephone town hall were Bloomingdale Mayor John D’Amato, Fair Lawn Mayor Gail Rottenstrich Cutrone, Sussex County Commissioner Chris Carney, Newton Police Chief Dan Finkle and Valley Bible Chapel Pastor Bob Hayes.
