Dog walker accused of burglary at client’s home in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morristown woman working as a dog walker has been charged with burglary after police say she entered a room in a Denville Township residence where she was not authorized to be.

According to the Denville Township Police Department, officers were alerted on May 14 to a potential burglary at a private residence. An investigation determined that Maureen Denman, 63, of Morristown, had entered a closed-off room within the home that she did not have permission to access.

Authorities say Denman proceeded to search through the homeowner’s personal belongings before leaving the room and exiting the residence.

Denman was arrested, and charged with burglary. She was later released pending a court appearance, police said.
