Powerball jackpot climbs to estimated $748 million after no winning ticket

There was no jackpot winner in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, sending the estimated jackpot for the next drawing to $748 million.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Aug. 1 drawing were 6, 17, 27, 48 and 50, with the Powerball of 5. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.

One ticket sold in Virginia matched all five white balls and the Power Play to win a $2 million prize.

Four tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. The winning tickets were sold in California (three), Maryland, and Texas.

The next Powerball drawing will be held Monday, Aug. 3, with an estimated $748 million jackpot and a cash value of $325.1 million.
