Mariano Rivera to meet fans, debut Mo’s Heat hot sauce at ShopRite of Rockaway
ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Baseball Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera will make a special appearance at the ShopRite of Rockaway on Wednesday, Aug. 26, to celebrate the New Jersey launch of his new Mo’s Heat hot sauce line.
Rivera will be at the store, located at 437 Route 46, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fans will have an opportunity to meet Rivera, take photos and sample the new collection of officially licensed Major League Baseball hot sauces.
Mo’s Heat features three varieties inspired by baseball pitches — The Cutter, The Curve and The Sinker.
The Cutter, described as the brand’s signature sauce, features a balanced flavor that begins smooth and builds to a lingering heat. The Curve features green habaneros and is described as bright and herbaceous with a crisp, balanced heat.
The Sinker is described as the most approachable of the three, featuring fully ripened peppers with a gradual heat and subtle sweetness.
Rivera, who founded Mo’s Heat, developed the collection with inspiration from his Panamanian roots and passion for flavor and food culture.
The appearance at the ShopRite of Rockaway, which is owned and operated by Glass Gardens Inc., comes as the hot sauce line expands in New Jersey. Rivera recently made appearances at the ShopRite of New Milford and ShopRite of Greater Morristown to promote the collection.
Rivera spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019.
