Driver charged with DWI following crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 53-year-old Budd Lake resident was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash in Denville Township, according to police.

Denville police responded to the area of Pocono Road at about 12:11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, for a reported motor vehicle crash.

During the investigation, police said one of the drivers, identified as Jamie Aumick, showed signs of impairment.

Following standardized field sobriety testing, Aumick was arrested and transported to Denville Police Department headquarters, according to police.

Aumick was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane and improper passing.

Following processing, Aumick was released pending a future appearance in Denville Township Municipal Court.
