Chester Township, police department offices to close for safety drills Oct. 5 and 7

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Chester Township municipal and police department offices will be closed for several hours on Monday, Oct. 5, and Wednesday, Oct. 7, while a safety drill is conducted, according to Chester police.

The offices will be closed from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on both days.

The parking lot at 1 Parker Road will also be closed during the drills.

Police said the public may notice a large presence of emergency vehicles and personnel in the area and should not be alarmed.

Police officers will remain on duty and continue patrolling Chester Township and Chester Borough during the drills.
