Reward increases to $1,000 for information in Warren County soccer field vandalism

HOPE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — The reward for information in connection with vandalism that caused an estimated $1,000 in damage to a soccer field at Swayze Mill Park  in Hope Township has increased to $1,000 after additional donors came forward, officials said.

New Jersey State Police are investigating after a vehicle was driven onto the soccer field Tuesday night, causing extensive damage.

The township reported the vandalism Wednesday morning. The field is used by some of the township’s youngest soccer players, officials said.

The township estimates repairs to the field will cost about $1,000.

An anonymous donor initially offered a $500 reward for information that helps identify the person or people responsible.

Township officials said additional donors have since come forward to assist the township in trying to resolve the situation, increasing the reward to $1,000.
