Acting Governor Way lifts state of emergency after winter storm
NEW JERSEY — Acting Gov. Tahesha Way on Tuesday lifted the state of emergency declared last week in response to a winter storm that brought hazardous weather conditions across New Jersey.
Way signed Executive Order No. 410, terminating the state of emergency effective at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025. The emergency had been declared under Executive Order No. 409 on Dec. 26 due to the potential impacts of a significant winter storm.
The declaration cited hazardous conditions including snowfall, freezing rain and sleet and applied to all 21 counties in the state. The order took effect at 1 p.m. Friday.
