ALDI is offering shoppers a traditional Thanksgiving meal for 10 people for less than $39 this holiday season, with no coupons, loyalty cards, minimum purchases or memberships required.
The grocery chain said the meal costs less than $4 per person and includes a 16-pound turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, cranberries, peas, carrots, celery, pumpkin pie ingredients, milk and whipping cream.
“Thanksgiving shouldn’t require a calculator or a coupon strategy,” said Atty McGrath, CEO, ALDI. “At ALDI, shoppers can put a 16-pound turkey and the Thanksgiving classics on the table for 10 people, all for under $39. No hoops. Just a really good meal at a really good price.”
According to ALDI, this year’s Thanksgiving meal was designed around the same core items tracked in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner Cost Survey, allowing shoppers to compare prices.
The company said its shoppers have saved an average of 26% on a traditional Thanksgiving meal over the past five years compared with the national average reported by the American Farm Bureau Federation.
“Our goal is to make Thanksgiving shopping simple, affordable and delicious, so families can spend less time chasing deals and more time enjoying the holiday with loved ones,” said Scott Patton, Chief Commercial Officer, ALDI. “This year we put together a classic, easy-to-compare feast at a price that only ALDI can offer.”
The Thanksgiving meal products will be available at ALDI stores from Oct. 14 through Nov. 25. Shoppers can identify participating items by a turkey logo displayed on store shelves.
New this year, customers can add the entire Thanksgiving shopping list to their online cart with one click for curbside pickup or delivery through ALDI’s website.
The company said its smaller-format stores and streamlined operations, including stocking products in their original shipping boxes, help keep grocery prices low throughout the year.
