ALDI to open first Hackettstown store Dec. 4
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — ALDI, which bills itself as America’s fastest-growing grocer, will open its first Hackettstown location on Thursday, Dec. 4, bringing what the company calls fresh, affordable food and “everyday low prices” to its newest community.
The store, located at 215 Mountain Avenue, will open at 8:45 a.m., with regular hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
To celebrate the grand opening, ALDI will offer the first 100 customers a gift bag containing ALDI-exclusive products and a gift card as part of its Golden Ticket giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes to win a $500 ALDI gift card throughout opening weekend.
“At our new Hackettstown ALDI store, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer,” said Bob Grammer, regional vice president for ALDI. “Our customers can save up to 36% on an average household’s shopping list. As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, ALDI is providing Hackettstown with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.”
The company says the Hackettstown store marks continued progress toward its national goal of opening 800 stores by the end of 2028.
ALDI says its shopping model focuses on savings, simplicity and product quality. The company carries a curated selection of mostly exclusive brands — about 90% of items — and promotes its “Twice as Nice Guarantee,” which offers both a replacement and a refund if a customer is not fully satisfied with a product.
Shoppers will find organic meats, produce, sustainable seafood, specialty cheeses, and items for various dietary needs, along with weekly limited-time “ALDI Finds” ranging from seasonal foods to home goods.
The grocer also highlights sustainability efforts, noting it was the first U.S. retailer to eliminate single-use plastic bags. ALDI says it continues to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve packaging across its supply chain.
Nearly all ALDI locations offer online ordering, grocery delivery and curbside pickup, available through shop.aldi.us.
As an employer, ALDI says it provides competitive wages and benefits and has been named one of “America’s Best Large Employers” by Forbes seven times in the past eight years.
