
Authorities investigate death of man found on railroad tracks in Morris County
UPDATE: Man arrested in death of homeless man in Dover
DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities are investigating the death of a man found on a railroad tracks in Dover Wednesday morning, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
On July 26, at around 1:56 a.m., police responded to the railroad tracks near West Clinton Street and upon arrival, officers located the body, Carroll said.
The victim’s name and identity have not been released, Carroll said.
Police have identified a person of interest and the investigation is active and ongoing, Carroll said.
“There is no perceived threat to the public at this time. No further information will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation,” Carroll said.
The Dover Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
