Big crowds, ribbon-cutting mark debut of ALDI’s new Hackettstown store
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Shoppers lined up early Thursday morning as ALDI celebrated the grand opening of its Hackettstown store, following a soft opening the day before.

The store, located at 215 Mountain Avenue, opened at 8:45 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Hackettstown Mayor Jerry DiMaio, Hackettstown Business Improvement District Executive Director Laurie Rapisardi, and ALDI leadership.
Customer Gina Jones of Great Meadows began the ceremony with a rendition of the National Anthem, drawing applause from the crowd gathered outside the entrance.

The ribbon-cutting was followed by ALDI’s Golden Ticket giveaway, offering the first 100 customers a gift bag containing ALDI-exclusive products and a gift card. Shoppers were also invited to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card throughout the opening weekend.
“At our new Hackettstown ALDI store, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer,” said Bob Grammer, regional vice president for ALDI. “Our customers can save up to 36% on an average household’s shopping list. As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, ALDI is providing Hackettstown with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.”
The Hackettstown location marks continued progress toward ALDI’s national goal of opening 800 new stores by the end of 2028.
Inside the store, shoppers will find a curated selection of mostly exclusive brands — about 90% of ALDI’s inventory — including organic meats and produce, sustainable seafood, specialty cheeses, gluten-free and plant-based products, and a rotating lineup of weekly limited-time “ALDI Finds.”
ALDI also highlights its environmental initiatives, including becoming the first U.S. retailer to eliminate single-use plastic bags. The grocer says it continues working to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve sustainable packaging across its supply chain.
Nearly all ALDI stores offer online ordering, grocery delivery and curbside pickup through shop.aldi.us.
As an employer, the company promotes competitive wages and benefits and has been named one of “America’s Best Large Employers” by Forbes multiple times.
