Centenary University names Treacy Stewart chief human resources officer

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Centenary University has appointed Treacy Stewart as its new chief human resources officer, university officials announced.

Stewart, a Hackettstown resident, will report directly to the university president and oversee human resources strategy, focusing on building a high-performing, people-centered culture aligned with institutional goals.

“Treacy Stewart’s strategic expertise and people-centered leadership approach will be a tremendous asset to Centenary University,” said President John R. Schol. “We are excited to welcome her to campus as she strengthens our culture and advances our strategic mission.”

Before joining Centenary, Stewart spent more than a decade with Mondelēz International, most recently serving as director of people capability. In that role, she led global human resources service delivery and enterprise learning strategy, implemented a companywide capability framework and expanded leadership development programs.

Officials said her work contributed to increased participation in leadership initiatives and strengthened internal talent pipelines.

Stewart’s career also includes senior leadership roles with Wyndham Hotel Group, where she led global learning and organizational development efforts and designed leadership programs for employees worldwide.

She holds a master’s degree in human resources management from Fitchburg State University and a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State University. She is also certified in several leadership and behavioral development frameworks.
