Commissioner Soloway joins more than 300 attendees at Hunterdon County Library author event
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Commissioner Susan J. Soloway joined more than 300 residents and community members April 14 for an author event at the Hunterdon County Library Headquarters.
The event, “Beyond the Page: An Evening with Ariel Lawhon,” marked the second installment in the library’s Beyond the Page series, which is supported by the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library and aims to connect readers with authors through in-person programming.
Soloway attended alongside library patrons and supporters, highlighting the role of the county library system in providing cultural and educational opportunities.
“Seeing so many residents come together for an event like this speaks to the strong sense of community we have in Hunterdon County,” said Commissioner Soloway. “The library continues to create opportunities for people to connect, learn, and be inspired.”
The evening featured bestselling author Ariel Lawhon, who shared insights into her writing process and participated in a discussion with attendees. Guests also had opportunities to interact with one another during the event.
“Beyond the Page was created to bring our community together around the power of storytelling,” said Hunterdon County Librarian Lisa Johnson, who coordinates the series. “Events like our evening with Ariel Lawhon give residents the chance to connect with authors whose words have moved them, right here at home.”
Officials also recognized the efforts of library staff and the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library for organizing programs that continue to draw community participation.
More information about upcoming programs is available through the Hunterdon County Library System website.
