Crash investigation closes section of Route 46 in Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A crash investigation shut down both directions of Route 46 in Mount Olive early Thursday, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

The incident was reported east of Naughright Road around 5:58 a.m. Reports said a car and a tractor-trailer were involved in the crash, and all lanes were closed as authorities responded.

No immediate details were available on injuries or how long the roadway would remain shut. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
