Daytime lane closures scheduled on I-78 West near Easton Monday through Wednesday
EASTON, Pa. (Northampton County) — Motorists traveling on Interstate 78 westbound near Easton should expect daytime lane closures Monday through Wednesday as the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission conducts surveying work.
A single-lane closure, leaving two of the three westbound lanes open, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20-22 on the Pennsylvania side of the I-78 Toll Bridge.
The lane restriction is needed to allow a commission engineering consultant to perform surveying work.
While significant travel delays are not expected, motorists are urged to reduce speeds and use caution when traveling through the active work zone.
The work schedule is weather dependent and may change because of weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
