Denville police, fire personnel recognized for lifesaving efforts

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — The Denville Police Department has recognized members of the Denville Fire Department along with several police officers and dispatchers for their lifesaving actions during emergency calls over the past two years.

During that period, the group responded to 13 emergency incidents in which their rapid response and lifesaving procedures resulted in successful recoveries, according to the department.

Those honored include Lt. Fernandez; Sgts. Williams, Tobin and Duda; Detective Ambrose; Officers Ordway, Gorman, Pisano, Tapia, SRO Tavarone, Sales and Wolfe; Dispatchers Pappas, Henderson, Norman, Gonzalez and Ays; and Administrative Specialist Sharples.

The police department commended all of the individuals, as well as the Denville Fire Department, for their professionalism, training and commitment to the community.

“We are incredibly proud of our officers, dispatchers, and fire personnel. Their quick actions and dedication to duty have directly saved lives in our community,” said Chief Welsch.
