Driver charged with DWI after crashing into tree in Morris County
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 30-year-old Sussex County woman was charged with DWI after she crashed into a tree Saturday night in Denville Township.
On March 25, at around 10:47 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Franklin Road and Franklin Avenue for a report of a vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on a resident’s front lawn, police said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the driver, identified as Tara Pacifico of Hopatcong Borough, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Pacifico was charged with DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe a traffic control device, and failure to maintain lane. She was released to a sober adult pending a court appearance, police said.
