MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Denville woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after her vehicle struck a snowbank along Route 46 in Mount Olive Township, according to police.

Police said the incident occurred Feb. 26 at about 12:44 p.m., when the Mount Olive Police Communications Center received a report of a black Hyundai traveling west on Route 46 that was failing to maintain its lane.

An officer located the vehicle as it struck a snowbank at the intersection of Route 46 and Naughright Road, where it came to a stop, authorities said.

The driver was identified as Shaun C. Sisco, 47, of Denville. While speaking with Sisco, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed signs of impairment, police said.

Sisco was asked to exit the vehicle for field sobriety testing and was subsequently placed under arrest.

She was transported to police headquarters and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.
