HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A Hillsborough man was critically injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Amwell Road that also involved a school transport minivan carrying a juvenile passenger, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The crash occurred Thursday, Oct. 29, at approximately 7:49 a.m. near the intersection of Amwell Road and Cpl. Langon Way. Hillsborough Township police responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision and discovered that three vehicles had been involved.

According to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. The driver of the Ford SUV was also transported to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the Dodge minivan, which was being used as a school transport vehicle, and a juvenile female passenger were also taken to an area hospital.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the drivers of the Ford SUV and Dodge minivan were listed in stable condition. The juvenile passenger was receiving medical care, but authorities did not provide additional information about the extent of her injuries.

Investigators have not released the identities of those involved or additional details about what caused the Nissan to cross the centerline.
