Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on I-287 in Morris County

HARDING TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A single-vehicle crash Wednesday night claimed the life of a 61-year-old Passaic County man, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

The crash happened on Sept. 27, at around 9:07 p.m., on Interstate 287 northbound at milepost 31.4 in Harding Township, Marchan said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram pick-up truck, driving by Kevin Hanrahan of Totowa, was traveling north on I-287 when the vehicle ran off the road to the left and struck a metal guardrail, Marchan said.

Hanrahan was transported to an area hospital where he later died to his injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Marchan said.
