DWI checkpoint planned in Parsippany-Troy Hills Sept. 6–7

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — A joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint will be held in Parsippany-Troy Hills the weekend of Sept. 6–7, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood announced.

Chief of Detectives Robert McNally and Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Chief Richard Pantina joined Calderwood in announcing the checkpoint, which will be staffed by law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department.

The exact location of the checkpoint was not announced.

The checkpoints are funded by grants from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, which supports sobriety checks in cooperation with municipal police departments across the county.

The Prosecutor’s Office has coordinated checkpoints in multiple Morris County municipalities in the past and plans to continue with future operations announced in advance.
