FBI offers reward for Morris County bank robber
MOUNTAIN LAKES BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) —The Newark FBI, Mountain Lakes Borough Police Department, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Mountain Lakes Borough.
FBI agents have a federal arrest warrant for Tony Winst, 46, for allegedly robbing the PNC Bank, located at 425 Boulevard in Mountain Lakes Borough, on Nov. 17, 2023.
Winst allegedly went into the bank, demanded money, and threatened that he had a weapon. He then ran away from the bank into the woods. No one was hurt during the robbery, officials said.
Winst is described as bald, with tattoos on both hands and had teardrop tattoos at the corner of each eye that have been removed. He’s 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds, authorities said.
Winst is known to have connections to Elizabeth and Newark, New York, NY, Chicago, IL and Seattle, WA. He also goes by the aliases “Tony Miller” and “Tony Tailor.” He has been known to use taxis to travel, officials siad.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.
