Fire crews contain Thursday morning house fire in Morris County
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Firefighters quickly brought a residential structure fire under control Thursday morning in the Prospect Point section of Jefferson Township, authorities said.
Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 2 and Fire Company No. 1 were dispatched to the scene around 8 a.m. on March 26. An assistant chief arrived within minutes and confirmed smoke coming from the residence.
The first arriving tanker crew deployed an attack line to begin fire suppression, while additional crews, including a ladder company, assisted with extinguishment and other operations.
Officials said the fire was contained without spreading further within the structure.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
