Four charged in Hunterdon County narcotics investigation involving drugs, weapons
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Four Flemington residents have been charged following a series of narcotics investigations that uncovered illegal drug activity, weapons and concerns involving child safety, authorities said.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and Flemington Borough Police Chief Jerry Rotella said the arrests stem from coordinated investigations conducted between March 12 and April 21 by the county’s Narcotics Task Force and the Flemington Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Division.
Authorities identified the suspects as Delmy M. Idalgo-Centeno, 33; Noelia Jackeline Gomez-Lopez, 25; Fernando Munoz-Perez, 23; and Alfredo Ozuna-Jimenez, 34, all of Flemington.
Investigators obtained and executed multiple court-authorized search warrants, with assistance from the Hunterdon County SWAT Team. Officials said the searches resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and several weapons.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency also assisted in two cases to ensure the safety of children found in environments involving alleged drug activity.
Idalgo-Centeno faces charges including second-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree distribution of cocaine, fourth-degree evidence tampering and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gomez-Lopez is charged with multiple counts of second-degree neglect of a child, third-degree possession and intent to distribute narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Munoz-Perez faces charges including second-degree possession with intent to distribute, second-degree child neglect and third-degree distribution of cocaine.
Ozuna-Jimenez is charged with second-degree possession with intent to distribute, providing false information to law enforcement and two counts of unlawful possession of weapons, including a machete and an ice pick.
Authorities said all four defendants are scheduled to appear in Warren County Superior Court for pre-indictment conferences in May and June.
Officials noted that second-degree offenses in New Jersey carry potential prison terms of five to 10 years, while third- and fourth-degree charges carry lesser penalties.
