Gottheimer discusses child care, health care and utility costs during telephone town hall
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer held a telephone town hall Monday night with North Jersey residents to discuss efforts to lower household expenses, support veterans and first responders and secure federal funding for local communities.
Gottheimer, a Democrat representing New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, discussed the cost of child care and learning centers, health care expenses and utility bills during the Aug. 10 event, according to his office.
“This Telephone Town Hall gave me the chance to speak directly with residents about the issues that matter most to North Jersey families,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I’m focused on working in Washington to cut taxes, lower the cost of childcare, health care, and utility bills, support our cops, EMTs, and firefighters, and make everyday life more affordable.”
Gottheimer took questions from constituents during the telephone event and discussed his efforts in Congress to reduce costs for New Jersey families, including through tax measures and initiatives addressing child care, health care and utility expenses.
He also highlighted federal funding brought to communities in his district for police, firefighters and emergency medical services, as well as programs supporting veterans.
Gottheimer’s office said the congressman also discussed federal funding for road, bridge and other infrastructure projects in North Jersey.
