Gottheimer visits Six Flags Great Adventure, highlights role of tourism in New Jersey economy

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Ocean County) — U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer recently visited Six Flags Great Adventure with his family, emphasizing the importance of tourism and family attractions to New Jersey’s economy.

During the visit, Gottheimer toured the park, rode attractions and visited the Wild Safari, while also meeting with employees and guests. The park, a longtime destination for families, draws visitors from across the region and supports thousands of jobs, officials said.

“For me, Six Flags was a tradition growing up, and now I get to share that same experience with my own family,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “From the incredible rides to the Wild Safari, this is one of New Jersey’s great attractions. It brings families together, supports local jobs, and drives tourism to our state. It’s so important we continue to support the businesses and workers who make experiences like this possible.”

Officials said New Jersey’s tourism industry plays a significant role in the state’s economy by supporting small businesses, generating revenue and creating jobs in local communities.

Gottheimer has supported initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s economy through tourism promotion and investment in local businesses, according to his office.
