Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame opens nominations for 2026 class; luncheon set for May 27
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Nominations are now being accepted for the Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame, a program that honors older residents in northwest New Jersey who have made a significant impact through service to others in their communities.
Established in 1997, the Senior Hall of Fame has inducted 274 members from Warren County and adjacent parts of Hunterdon, Morris and Sussex counties. Honorees are recognized during a celebration luncheon and ceremony held in May as part of Older Americans Month. This year’s luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown.
Nominees must be 60 or older as of Jan. 1, 2026. Nominations opened Jan. 12, 2026, and must be received by Friday, Feb. 27, with no exceptions for late entries, organizers said.
A selection committee made up of current Senior Hall of Fame members, local business leaders, and representatives of the Hackettstown Business Improvement District’s staff and board will review submissions and choose the Hall of Fame Class of 2026, organizers said.
Organizers encouraged nominators to describe how a nominee has gone “above and beyond” to positively affect individuals, communities or organizations in the greater Hackettstown area, and to provide specific examples of volunteer contributions beyond length of service.
Nomination forms can be completed online or printed and mailed or dropped off to the Hackettstown BID, Attn: Nominating Committee, Senior Hall of Fame, 219 Main Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Completed forms may also be emailed to director@hackettstownbid.com or socialmedia@hackettstownbid.com.
For more information, organizers said residents can contact Laurie or Jessica at the Hackettstown BID at (908) 850-5004.
