Hackettstown BID honors local businesses, community leaders at 2026 awards ceremony

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Business Improvement District recognized local businesses, volunteers and community leaders during its 2026 Business Appreciation Awards, held Wednesday at David’s Country Inn.

The annual event brought together community members, local officials and business owners to celebrate contributions that support the town’s economic growth and community spirit.

Among the top honors, former WRNJ radio host Bert Baron was named Community Champion. Kelsey Walter of Greene’s Beans Café received the Collaborator of the Year award, while Delloons Balloon Boutique was recognized as Rookie of the Year.

Melissa Maney was honored as Volunteer of the Year for her service to the community, and Terri Rintz of Center Point Wellness was named Businessperson of the Year.

Marley’s Gotham Grill received the Business of the Year award.

The event also highlighted community partnerships, including recognition of Classic Ballroom Dance Studio as a key community partner.

The awards ceremony featured presentations by local leaders and community members and celebrated the continued growth and resilience of Hackettstown’s business community.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
