HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Charges have been filed against a Hackettstown woman following an investigation into a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred March 31, 2026, authorities said.

Iwona Jaworski, 50, was arrested May 13, 2026, in connection with a head-on collision on Willow Grove Street, police said.

Authorities said Jaworski was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of Willow Grove Street when her vehicle struck another vehicle head-on.

Responding officers and emergency medical personnel reported detecting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Jaworski and observed signs consistent with impairment, according to investigators.

A blood sample was subsequently collected at the hospital and submitted for forensic testing.

Following the completion of the investigation, Jaworski was charged with assault by auto while operating under the influence, operating under the influence of liquor or drugs, reckless driving, failure to maintain traffic within marked lanes and failure to possess a driver insurance card.
