Healthy Hunterdon Fest coming to Deer Path Park on May 17

A Free Community Celebration of Wellness, Fitness, and Family Fun

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County)  — The Hunterdon County Division of Parks & Recreation and the Health Department are proud to present Healthy Hunterdon Fest, a vibrant afternoon of health, fitness, and family-friendly fun, set for Saturday, May 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Deer Path Park in Flemington.

This free event will be emceed by former New York Giants player Otis Anderson, who will bring energy and inspiration to the day’s festivities.

Healthy Hunterdon Fest aims to celebrate healthy living and community connection. Attendees can enjoy:

  • A dedication of the new accessible fitness pavilion at Deer Path Park by Eric LeGrand
  • Group wellness activities led by the Hunterdon County Health Department and River Crossing YMCA
  • Live music and entertainment from Showoff Productions
  • A Game Truck for kids of all ages
  • An opportunity to explore the county’s HAZMAT vehicle
  • Educational exhibits from the 579 Trail
  • A Family Team Trivia Contest with fun prizes provided by participating sponsors
  • Healthy cooking demonstrations

“This event is about bringing the community together in a fun and engaging way while promoting health and wellness resources available throughout Hunterdon County,” said Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren, liaison to the Health Department.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher.
